So when the 4070 super is $599, what's the point of this at $720 besides the 20GB of RAM? According to benchmarks, the 4070 super out performs this by a little bit.
Idk where you're getting that from. 7900xt is significantly faster than a 4070 super in everything except very heavy ray tracing scenarios.

Not enough X, sorry. Need at least three X in product name. Four is preferable.

Can we use this for AI/ML workload. I have RTX 3090 and either will buy today 4080 Super or this is not bad due to 20MB. Models are becoming fatter and fatter. LLAM2 Python fresh came out last night.

Both that and the cpu benchmark counterpart of the site are good for SYNTHETIC load only AFAIK. You can definitely see that their scoring is lacking when looking at the 7800x3d CPU and how all the top CPUs on the chart are production workload focused CPUs and not gaming

It really depends on what you're trying to do. I have the 7900 XTX and things that are written with Pytorch seem to work well since ROCM 5.6. I've had others refuse though. Nvidia would probably still be a better bet for ML/AI workloads.

Can't say if it's better or worse now. I definitely used to use it a lot earlier but it's always been synthetic. I think it might just be the wealth of quality gpu reviewers out there. Real-world performance benchmarks are also iffy in the extrapolating department so watching/reading a review that talks about its strengths is important. Notably the 4060 Ti has such lackluster components. Due to how bad the internals are vs the actual compute unit (or other GPU jargon-y things i'm not familiar with), the 4060 Ti loses to the 3060 and 3060 Ti at resolutions higher than 1080p. Have to make sure you're familiar enough with a card to know what shortcomings the synthetic and real-world benchmarks are showing.
