I had the same experience with a toothpaste purchase. Took exactly 30 days before I was emailed and the credit showed up in my account.
This seems to be the new thing. Is this to prevent people getting a credit right away and then returning the product?

I had a mysterious $5 promo credit automatically added to a recent order. I'm assuming it was the credit for the last tp deal. I didn't get an email and didn't see any sign of it in my account until that purchase.

FYI, I recently got Charmin and Bounty deliveries and BOTH were smaller than before.

P&G continues to shrink their products (less sheets) but not their prices. It feels like a scam honestly.

Probably credit from another promotion. There was a P&G buy $50 get $15 promo credit IIRC.


Did this last time; got $5 credit in 30 days. I'm not liking how Amazon is switching to promo credit after return period instead of $5 off instantly; promo credit can only work on sold and shipped by Amazon products and expire after a few weeks. Also, instead of $10 for $15 worth of products, now it's $15 for $20 worth (25% off instead of 33% off).

When they do issue the $5 credit, does it expire within a few weeks?

I'm finding myself shopping less frequently at Amazon and will skip this if the credit expires soon after it's issued

Yes it is time-limited. I think they give you 30 days. Not sure if you can buy a "friend" a GC with it, but that would be a way to extend it out for a long time until you shop with them again.
