The one and only reason I've never jumped on one of these "deals". I'm paying for the savings in a little over a year for a feature I'll hardly use.

I have always said that but the the fruit fanboys always get defensive about it, what's the point of having cellular connection on your smartwatch when you must pair it to your cellphone in order to operate as it's intended?

I'm not able to replicate the deal
If you could get a free Apple watch SE wouldn't be bad for kids who are too young for a phone but old enough to walk home from school or to the park.

Better than spending $130 for a Gizmo watch plus $15 a month with Verizon

Only usage I can see is if you were an avid runner or something and wanted to text without access to your phone as it would weigh you down. Anything else you are likely to have your phone on you.
