Not the greatest promo, unless you have some serious stay activity coming up in the next few months. But I'll take it, as any extra points will help offset the devaluation Marriott has done to their redemption / hotel category process over the past few years. still not as bad as Hilton devalued their program...but it's getting there in the race to the bottom of the devaluation path.

Hilton devalued their program years ago...and I think it takes 5 million points for a 1 night stay somewhere - I'm kidding but you will hardly find any lower cost (points wise) Hilton's to stay in.
Hyatt has nicer properties but they're not everywhere...so it's hard to earn major points with stays. Only good way to earn points w/Hyatt is sign-up bonus's.
I don't have much experience with Best Western or IHG (Ho Jo's!) as my work related travel usually kept me in better properties! But, having IHG is good if you're just looking for lots of points for stays and low cost for redemption for cheap hotel stays (ex. family vacation). I believe IHG also has some great properties for overseas redemption / use of points.
Little off topic, but is anyone else's chrome browser struggling to display the Marriott website?

Although, that's really where I stop these days. I can make it to Titanium like it's nothing but apart from the 40k point free night award haven't seen a reason to go further for years. Being an Ambassador is a complete joke these days and the obscene points devaluation in the past couple of years (the usual places I stayed previously were 35k points per night and are now routinely 70k-110k points per night) has made me purposely burn through a huge stockpile of Bonvoy points, which I'm guessing was what they wanted...
It's a shame Hyatt doesn't have anywhere near the # of hotels Marriott does as that's the only truly decent hotel program left from what I can see. There are so many other rewards program these days that it's not worth getting 4k Bonvoy points per night when I can get 5k AA, a $50 Amazon GC, etc.. As a long time SPG member it's truly sad what Marriott has done to the program although they aren't alone in that...
my company forces us to use Expedia to book hotels / flights and pay in advance...
