It is no big deal unless you stay a lot of nights with this promo. It is an extra night towards elite status which gets you lounge access when you hit 50 nights in a year.

1,000 points are valued at about $8

Not bad...at least I was able to actually apply this promo - 3/4 of the time, they don't apply to my account.

Not the greatest promo, unless you have some serious stay activity coming up in the next few months. But I'll take it, as any extra points will help offset the devaluation Marriott has done to their redemption / hotel category process over the past few years. still not as bad as Hilton devalued their program...but it's getting there in the race to the bottom of the devaluation path.

I am on long term stay at Marriot currently. Should I check out on 2/13 and check back in to get this promotion? or stay through it will apply automatically?

Real reason I came here though was cuz ... All the hotels I stay at are dirty, moldy, and have unfriendly staff. I travel a lot for the company and I've seen Marriott go down hill faster than most! ... I have quit using Marriott all together and have started building my points with Hilton
Wow, ever since I was a kid (and that was loooooong time ago) Marriott was always at the top for large chain hotels. I'm shocked if you can get better overall places in general with Hilton.

I'm going to a conference that offers their code for discounts. Can I use that and still get this promo?

Of course I have a two week trip that ends right before the promo starts. I'm lifetime platinum and Marriott rewards have become worse and worse. It cost me 46k points for a $200/night hotel. I also had paid nights at the same hotel and with my 75% bonus it'd take ~15 nights to get one night free!!

This promotion has value for anyone chasing lifetime status marks and needs to accrue nights awarded for status.

This promotion occurs every year roughly during the same time period and I welcome it.

If you're not in that category - this promotion has little value to you.

If you think Marriott tiers are devalued and diluted - please enjoy your stays at other hotels.

If you are lifetime platinum status and you choose to burn 46k points instead of paying $200 on a room - then sadly I have to question your understanding of how this game is played.

Just another data point for those of you who can't seem to get this promo online, I also could not no matter what changes I made online. But a two minute call to bonvoy and they were able to apple the promo to my account. If you have any significant stays in that time frame, worth the 2 minutes at least for me.

What promo have they offered in the past that's been better? This deal is nothing if you only occasionally stay at a Marriott, but being able to rack-up points and even more importantly qualifying nights is great. UNLESS... You already stay enough to earn Titanium naturally, in which case, I guess can help get you to qualifying for lifetime plat, but does nothing to help get Ambassador status.

This: Using 46k instead of paying $200 does not make sense whatsoever. In that situation and at that price point, I would rather use 8-10k of Hyatt points which are easier to come by via CSP/CSR transfer.

Using Marriott points to book for personal travel, you better make sure to book 5 nights all the time to maximize the book with points for 4 nights and get the 5th free.

Don't get Bonvoyed!
The wordplay makes it seem that you're getting a free-night certificate or something, effectively making it BOGO, but it's not.
I'm getting many elite night credits from two cards I have, one from Chase and another one from Amex, an old Starwood SPG card. Marriott points are not that valuable, although there is a bonus. Take a look at this [marriott.com]so you get the idea.
This is only good if you're going to stay anyway. IDKWhy SD promoted it to FP.
At least warn what this is really about in Wiki.

P.S. Combine with 20% Amex offer (have it on a free business card, capped at $60) and 6% cash back on the top
P.P.S Check Chase offers as well

This is weird question, but if I have a stay at two different hotels, does this qualify me to earn it twice? Example: I have 1 reservation at courtyard and 1 at residence inn next to eachother on Feb 24. Would that qualify me for to warn 2 ENC for the 1 day?
