I have the tri fuel one as I have a natural gas line outside my house.

As one commenter said, no doubt it's loud. It's less of an issue for me as I'm using it to power the house in an emergency (I live in Florida) so I'm more worried about just having power.

Would I want it for a tailgate or working a project outside? Probably not.

Does its job. Starts, runs, powers. I think I paid $200 more a couple years ago.

If I could do it over again I'd probably buy a name branded generator and convert to natural gas.

If you're looking for something out of the box natural gas ready I couldn't find anything even remotely close to this price.

If you're not going to use natural gas I'm sure there's better and quieter options out there.

Regardless, I'm happy with my purchase.

Had one previously it does the job but is really loud and output isn't suitable for anything sensitive. Sold and bought an inverter instead

I've had this for a few years and of course, it's loud but it runs great. I like being able to store propane w/o concern for degradation and I never run gas in it so don't worry about anything getting gunked up. I don't have neighbors close by and I'm okay with the noise. For the occasional power outage, this works well for me.

For camping, I have a dual-fuel Champion 2,000-watt inverter generator. Different tools for different use cases.

I have one, it's loud. But it keeps my fridge, freezer and a few fans going after hurricanes. If you need to run sensitive electronics consider a invertor or battery backup. I haven't fried anything yet but I know it is a possibility.

Thanks for the generator reviews!

Tractor Supply's price is by far the lowest price I've found - lower than Walmart, lower than Home Depot, lower than Northern Tool. Amazon is OOS right now.

Cheap but:

Not 120 / 240V - So really for RV's or for direct plug of ext. cords into unit

Made in China

*Edit: Also - 10% THD

In my generator fantasy world, I'd love to buy a tri-fuel inverter model and find it on sale. I'm sure those exist but gotta be $$$$

Came here to say almost the same thing. I got a couple propane tanks in the shed for the grill and one emergency one for this. Comes in handy in a blackout.

I think this checks all the boxes for me for an emergency generator. I have natural gas behind the house and if the power was out for extended periods of time, this would keep our food from spoiling. If it is really needed, then the sound will be irrelevant, but it'll still be running outside.

Have owned this for 7 years. Used it for 5 days straight during a power outage after the hurricane. Changing oil and spark plug once during that time. Have used it multiple times since then. Recommend it for sure. It's load and doesn't put as much watts as claimed. Have only used ethanol free fuel so far. Upgraded to larger one now.

Anyone have this one? Is it worth it for having a back up generator for the time being.

I bought this on sale like 5 years. Starts right up every time (non ethanol is the key). It is loud but I don't have nothing to compare it to and I only use it when the power is out so I could care less how loud it is

I'm not an expert but I sure married one, and why not simply put a muffler on this thing. $24 plus some ingenuity. Many of them come with flex pipe to steer exhaust away from your dwelling.
