would this be too powerful for a speaker with Impendence: 6 ohms & Power Handling 80 Watt.trying to find a "mini amp" that would be a great match with with Pioneer SP-BS22-LR bookshelf speakers.

Theres not really such thing as too much power for a speaker. You can overload it but you'd do far more damage underpowering a speaker than overpowering it. You'll know when you hit the limit of a speakers volume when it starts clipping and you prob would never use it that high anyways.

Well said!
Having too much power is not a concern. Its like using a Porsche to pick up your kids. Even though you can get it to do 150 mph, you can also safely do it at 60 mph without causing harm.

Clipping is not a function of the speaker being over driven, it is exceeding the headroom ofmthe amplifier itself. Overdriving a speaker will just eventually kill the coil.

Never used this company but 99 not including the 5 off coupon

This one has a built-in 42V-7.5A power supply, giving it a max output of 300ish total Watts. You'd need to buy a 42V-7.5A or 10A supply to get the max out of the other one (about $60).

Both of them are not great, in terms of distortion. For 4 and 8 ohm configurations, the thd+n=10% near max output. It all depends on how many speakers you have per channel. Will they work? Sure. But it will probably have a 'Buzz' or 'HUM' at those ohm configurations, especially at near max output. One 8 ohm speaker per channel? Probably fine with a smaller 100w speaker. Two speakers per channel? Ehhh...

Keeping the wattage output per speaker to about 70% of the max output (give or take) should help keep the distortion sound down. I also don't see a means of bridging the output, so not really made for anything but a single smaller speaker per channel.

Agreed. I drive Elac 5.2 floorstanders just fine with an Aiyima D03 and good bookshelves with a Fosi.

Technically you can do damage by maxing out volume and then connecting to a good signal input. This is unlikely after you set it up carefully and have sensible adults using it.

Do you need a different one? a7 pro a8 pro tone controls likely make the most quality upside difference from this for a lot of normal users. They come with a separate laptop power supply looking power supply.
[Subjectively] Aiyimas dont show their potential without a little tone control/equilizer for my taste, connecting to a source that wont need tone control such as a pc with equilization over usb this can be great.
I would ignore comment that says high distortion at full power, while it is not wrong. It is like a Lamborghini having high wind noise at 8k rpm, it is not a problem likely to stand out for normal use.

I see the cheap audio man reviweing all sorts of amps on youtube. I often stop in and watch. This one seems a bit different in that it has a EIC power cord to the back, not a wall wart or brick many of the others have. With that in mind, I dont think power supply is easily upgradeable. also Operating voltage indicates 240vac.

"Item Dimensions LxWxH 7.8 x 3.86 x 3.5 inches
Voltage 220 Volts"

I would love to try one on my K-horn or Vega D-9 systems, but I some how doubt the power ratings are even close to a actual RMS rating with say 3-6 db headroom.

I do think these would work well if your speaker is in the high 90s in effeciantcy area but 80's would be just to hard to drive to more than a talking level... I just never had a chance to try on my speakers yet.
