Just 2 smaller cords to put away instead of one larger one. It's easier to have a smaller one sometimes if you only have something less than 25' instead of lugging around a 50' if you only need say 15'.

I do that a lot with my 50's. Although I have a 100' 12/3 if I lay out a 50 and it isn't enough then I add the other 50. More importantly look at the amperage of your tool and see if you are not over extending your cord for amperage drop. I have used an angle grinder at 150'. Good luck!

I bought 2 of the 16 gauge 60 foot green ones for $10 each. Hoping 120' will reach out to the hedges at church!

Saw them when getting the blower / weed wacker deal for $99

16 GA may be too small for 120'. fine for xmas lights but not for power tools.

16 GA is pretty thin.

Having less connections is always safer especially when dealing with high amperage loads. Less connections = less points of resistance, less chance of failure.

Each plug to receptacle connection adds increased resistance, voltage loss and heat. Each additional connection increases the "effective" length beyond the actual length of the extension cords.

It is unsafe to connect extension cords together, unless you reduce the current below the rated limit. You should always use a single longer extension cord, if using the full limit.
