Any tips on how to look only at Mini PC's lightning deals? When I go to the computer section it shows all PC's and peripherals. Too much to look thru.
I just searched for 'n100 mini PC' and filtered by 'Todays Deals'.

The N100 is at least 15% better with most tasks, but it also has a much newer chipset which supports faster memory and storage. The integrated graphics is also capable of a lot more with way better performance.

All things considered, your overall experience will likely be significantly better.

As for power consumption, if you ran both systems 24/7 for a year with constant load, the 4590T would cost an average of $110 to run, while the N100 based system would top out at around $30.

The processors themselves use 35W and 6W respectively, but I was factoring total system consumption.
Thanks just purchased. What is the best way to get a clean install with valid license? Should I download Win 11 to USB stick?

I was about to purchase and noticed a few things that held me back:
1. No m.2 slot, only SSD. This is a significant bottleneck
2. No USB C connector
3. Only has wifi 5 (we are almost at wifi 7!)

Some other things that are normal but good to know for this price range, RAM is soldered on and the fan seems like it could be quieter.

For a few bucks more you can go with several other vendors that don't have the first 3 limitations noted above. I for one think the $20-$30 more could get you a better N100. I see why it's on sale.
It has an odd internal USB c port, or at least the N100 AK2 that I looked at had one. A quick search confirms that and claims it does display and power too

The n100 Passmark score is 5638

By comparison you could get dell Optiplex small form factor machine with an i7, windows 10 and an ssd for 100$ on eBay that's at least 25-30% more powerful.

But the footprint of this tiny box has its use cases I guess.

Just saying there's lots of options out there.

Theres an Optiplex 5040 on eBay right now for about 100$ with an i7 6700 with windows ready to go

How well does the 5040 do with Windows 11?

If you are looking specifically for something in this class or size, it's a great deal. If you don't have a need for this form factor there are other options.

You're assuming that grandma surfing the web is the only use-case people have for mini-pc's.

If you're a grandma or a non-techie, and you don't know what we are talking about, sure, save $30 by not having features that don't matter to you.

I have a large amount of data I process with my mini-PC. I don't have a hardwire to where I am running it. I like to maximize wifi connectivity and leverage the wifi 6 router I have when moving 100-200gb files across the network. I like being able plug in a USB-C thumb drive to my pc or an external m.2 SSD and not be limited by older USB standards. And if your dealing with these large files, having an M.2. drive inside the system is very helpful if you had to make a copy, night and day to older tech.

So yeah, I pointed these things out because they matter to me and they may matter to others.
Sure for power users I agree.

Something like this form factor is good for controlling telescope mounts/cameras.

Like other mentioned the N100 CPU is perfect for a Plex Server. Not sure if this particular system is a deal though. I got the Beelink EQ12 N100 16GB/512NVMe for around this same price.

You are comparing an 8 year old CPU that has a 65w TDP to something modern with a 6w TDP. 8 years worth of CPU cycles sitting in some dusty case VS brand new with much better efficiency. You would not be able to even run windows 11 on that 6700 without a registry hack.

The eq12 has been 169 on Amazon. That would have been a better deal but that was a while ago.
