1 cup of rice weighs 8 oz. This container is 50.7 cups. So this holds 405.6 oz, or about 25.35 pounds.

Edit: Confirmed by all the reviews that say it holds about 25 pounds.

I have this and it's amazing. For rice storage this is perfect. If you have big foot hand sizes then maybe it'll be a trap for you. For everyone else that is civilized and can use a scoop this container is perfect. The seals are great.

EDIT: Nvm, double checked and mine is the smaller more annoying one.

This one will fit your hand without it being annoying

Agreed. I have the same experience with these. I have bought 4 of these for storing rice and lentils. All of them work well and are in good shape. I also did not have the problem of my hand getting stuck.

I've been able to store 20lbs of rice easily with a little room to spare. My guess is it could store up to 25 lbs. If you want to do 50lbs I think you'll have to buy 2 of them

Dang, got this 3 years ago for $5 more. We use it for rice storage, use it at least once a week. No issues.

Tonight I purchased a 30000mah power bank and 5-1/2 Ryobi circular saw. You slick deal posters are killing me, lol.

If you're stocking up on other containers or can meet the $60 free ship threshold, it's $13 at pots and pans: https://www.potsandpans.com/colle...erving-cup

Also has the set with 2 other sizes included for $20: https://www.potsandpans.com/colle...tainer-set

This is good for anyone w/o a cat. With this semi-transparent Iook they can clearIy see what is inside, a 95% opaque container works better (just a cIear top for ex).
