It looks like on Xbox Series X and PS5 the only option is to dance with a phone in your hand since there's no Kinect or PS5 camera. This seems like a huge downgrade but $5 is the price point in which I'm willing to try it. Thanks for posting.

Kinect was so much better for this game.... Dancing with a Wiimote, Switch controller, or anything else in your hand is just not as good.

Exactly why I quit buying it. Even at 5 dollars... Simulating a Wiimote in your hand just isn't for me.

Yeah. Although if you have joycons, you can use those instead using an unofficial method. Not sure if it works for 2023, but it used to work on 2022. A lot easier to hold than phones.

What's worse is you have to use your phone. Meaning my 6 year old loves it but hates having to hold my big phone. The game stops itself if the phone isn't moving. So I've got to sit on the couch making my phone movie around so they can keep playing

I don't know why they took the Kinect away from this game. Couldn't they have offered both iPhone and Kinect options?

For Ubisoft to drop support for the Xbox One, especially with Kinect, is the stupidest decision they could have made. It's not like the game has become more high-powered that it requires the processor of a Series S/X or a PS5. I would have been fine with a Just Dance Unlimited subscription, however this is the nail in the coffin for that idea:

So in addition to the $24.99 per year, they want you to spend upwards of $59.99 for the latest batch of songs. Talk about double dipping!

It's honestly not that serious, you're being a bit dramatic for a $5 game. The phone app as a controller works fine, I also have a 6 year old who uses my 15 Pro Max as a controller and had absolutely no issues, its not like they are playing for hours on end
