The reference is to a style of ad for Holiday Inn Express about 15 years ago. The schtick is someone is ostensibly an expert in something, but it turns out they're just smart and stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. https://youtu.be/oi2zQLAnRcQ

Listing as 90 day Woot warranty? As unopened, I would have thought they'd have the manufacturer warranty. If they don't, I'd seriously consider the reconditioned ones with the 2 year third party warranty over these.

Pretty sure it is due to them being actually brand new but saled at a price lower than MAP from Sony, so no warranty besides woot.

I think it is simply due to the fact that Woot is not an authorized Sony retailer.

I bought mine as 'used - good' from Amazon. Box was beat up but headphones worked flawless with no physical blemishes. Keep an eye on the used ones in Amazon. Mine were low $200

I use these for gaming (Rainbow Six siege) where you can hear your opponent creeping up beside you, you hear every sound crystal clear which really turns around the game for me. I've had these for 3 months and having had any issues whatsoever. The battery life is amazing as well, I rarely have you charge it.

It would be great if these buds didn't have connectivity problems. Btw, Sony are a worse WH-1000XM5in my opinion.
