Why does a dryer need AI?
Don't buy Samsung major appliances. Call around to repair companies and see how many don't work on them!
So it can drive you crazier with the chiming

for major appliances, really, all you need to be worried about are the refrigerators and washer. those are the two likeliest to fail and need to be repaired.

Stoves and dryers are very simple appliances and the chance of repair is much lower. For this, you can usually go with any brand and it'll be fine as long as you properly maintain it.

For washers/refrigerators, absolutely reconsider buying Samsung or other Asian brands and go with a made-in-america brand. the pros of buying an american brand is you have a likelier chance of getting quality parts available and a technician who knows how to diagnose the issue.
It has AI, what makes you think it's simple? Its usually a computer part that fails, not a heating element.

It would need to be free. Samsung appliances are not worth the trouble. Absolute shit appliance company. Should do some digging into how much they spend on lawyers a year to keep the bad press off their ass about it. It's embarrassing. Great tech horrible appliances

I had to replace the heating element and the tensioner pulley on my Samsung dryer within 2 years. Also had the lint catcher plastic break, but at least it's still usable. Samsung is trash

Do yourself a favor and buy any other brand than Samsung. Mine required repair 4 times last year alone. Over their seven year lifespan they were repaired at least 10 times, a couple of times a major repair requiring tub replacement.

So it will slowly seduce your wife and family and replace you as the head of the household.

Do you turn off the breaker every time you plug in a lamp?
you probably don't know how it works.

these dryers don't come with a pre-attached cord. you need to screw in the wiring. what happens is some people accidentally plug in the cord and then try to connect the wiring to the panel of the dryer which can cause a large spark considering you're dealing with 30 amps. turn off the breaker to reduce any risk of it sparking.

and i've had samsung on two rentals for 7+ years and never had any issues.

your anecdotal experience isn't the reality or else people would stop buying these appliances by now yet these brands sell millions of them yearly.

that's called marketing. I hope you're not falling for it. every modern dryer has these standard features but calling anything AI is very marketable which is why every tech company when they report earnings talks about AI.

Much Agreed. I bought the largest capacity/heavily featured washer/dryer combo a few years back and they are garbage. Washer is falling apart the worst. Some parts aren't even made to replace the broken parts so I've had to make home fixes to keep it going. Waiting on a good deal on a better brand to replace them.

It can predict an incoming nuclear attack and turn your dryer off since there would be no point in drying clothing.
