Pretty good deal - you'll also get an extra 10% off if you use a MC card. I'm personally done with thick and heavy gaming laptops though.

I really like the Asus G14 but now I just use a Macbook Air and use Moonlight to stream games off my 4090 desktop (works great even while traveling). It's good enough for the little amount of time I actually get to game while away from home. I also own a Legion Go.

Thanks for the reply! I'm running 13inch m2 air + legion 5p, and thinking about thinning down. Big and bulky when hooked to external display the laptop really takes up too much space and power cord makes a mess. Your setup sounds amazing.

I've had this laptop with 16GB RAM for about 6 months and absolutely love it. I paid about $30 more, but no tax. Completely worth the money. Lenovo Vantage on this generation lets you overclock and undervolt in just a few clicks. Run a few synthetic benches to determine stability and never have to mess with it again. After tweaking the settings, it outscores my desktop 5900X, that is OC/UV with a Noctua NH-D15 cooler, in CinebenchR23. It can get loud, but most games I've tried have been perfectly acceptable.
The screen is amazing, Lenovo should have never offered these with the cheaper screen as to me it is one of the selling points.

The key is I have 1gig upload speeds and an Ethernet connection for the desktop - otherwise it wouldn't work nearly as well.

Looks like the one at B&H has an I9 professor, whereas this post is for the i7 Processor variant.

Is there an advantage of one over the other?

Yes i9 variant is a better cpu. In this case it only costs $100 more so might be worth it to some.

You should really check the DPC latency for the specific model that you're looking to buy if you're in the market for a Windows laptop for real-time media use cases. One of the main reasons that people recommend Macs for media is because they have pretty much figured out the latency thing, whereas Windows machines have considerable variability in this area.

Here's the list:

https://www.notebookcheck.net/DPC...376.0.html

The laptop in this thread looks to have some latency issues:

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Len...html#toc-5

I'd personally go for the AMD spec'd version of this laptop (16ARX8), which fares considerably better in this area:
