It will fit and work, whether or not your specific mobo has a screw to hold it down depends on your specific motherboard. it's just a shorter drive

According to a comment on Amazon the 1tb is TLC and the 2tb is QLC. Has anyone here had any experience with the 2tb on the steam deck of Ally? I want to upgrade the SSD on them but not sure if this is a good choice or not.

Just get it if you want to. There are adapters available to make it fit in slots that have screw holes only for longer form factors.

This deal is expired and the Micron 2TB 2400 M.2 2230 NVMe PCIe 4.0x4 SSD MTFDKBK2T0QFM-1BD1AABYYR is on sale at Amazon for lien $1 less. Is that a comparable drive for an ROG Ally? Couldnt figure out how to determine what's TLC vs QLC.
