It looks like the list of participating retailers has been drastically reduced — Home Depot / Advance Auto / Autozone / Oreilly (to name a few I can recall) are now all INELIGIBLE!
Per the fine print:
"Sponsor may amend, modify, cancel or extend this offer, at any time, without notice."
Buyer beware, pennzoil's track record with these rebates is on the decline.

So better stick to your manual approved specs oil and Oil change interval for harsh driving conditions unless you drive only on highways with no traffic
How is that possible if I change it's oil at the manufacturers recommend intervals?
Like I say spend your money any way you want. I'll use mine for more enjoyment.
As far as oil burning goes how come my car wasn't burning oil.
Can you answer that?
I only ask you to use common sense.
Oil companies and Car manufacturers have the best testing equipment in the world.
Now you can believe some guy on YouTube or some local mechanic if you want. It's your money.
Last thing is this oil change debate has been going on for over 29 years and yet NOT ONE STUDY has shown that changing your oil at manufacturers recommend intervals damages the engine.
If you have one then I would love to read it.
Especially with all these Direct Injection engines, they just eat themselves up with the carbon buildup, the oil burning and oil dilution issues.
But you're right; It is my money. I still have Free After Rebate oil stocked up, so all I have to do is buy an oil filter. That's extremely cheap insurance and peace of mind to keep my engines running for many miles for me and the next owner.

There are many newer car owners who follow +7K miles oil change interval and have to add at least 1 quart of oil every 2000 miles. Most dealers will also claim that it's normal to burn 1 qt/1000 miles. Post you question at the Toyota forum if you want to know why your car doesn't burn oil at 250K.

Make it a sweeter deal!
Also check your manual. Many websites say this oil doesn't "fit" my 2012 Sonata 198,000 miles but the manual says it actually does.

This issue started maybe 10k miles ago. I was out romping on the car in sport mode, and came up to a stop light in which the car shut itself off. Another mile down the road, once coming to a stop, I experienced the same. I pulled over to check the oil level, and did not even find it on the dipstick.

Older Toyota 5 k oil change was with REGULAR OIL not Synthetic and that was the MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDED OIL CHANGE INTERVAL.
If you're going to try and BS me at least make it believable.
Have a great day

Also note the statement about using higher viscosity oil at extremely low temperatures..."the engine may become difficult to start". THERE IS NO WARNING ABOUT DAMAGING THE ENGINE WITH HIGHER VISCOSITY OIL!
