Sorry but you don't have any idea what you're talking about.

Older Toyota 5 k oil change was with REGULAR OIL not Synthetic and that was the MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDED OIL CHANGE INTERVAL.

If you're going to try and BS me at least make it believable.

Have a great day
Most of today's synthetic oil is refined regular oil. Keep digging that hole.

Your ignorance is amazing. It truly shows how Little you know. now your saying that Regular oil is the same as Synthetic.

I guess you think 87 octane is the same as 93 octane gas because they're both made from oil.

I'm still waiting for that proof that changing the oil at the recommended intervals damages my engine.

Surely after many years there's plenty of proof. Right?

I'm only asking for 1 STUDY .

Per Toyota, the same 2AR-FE engine that's labeled for 0W-20 oil in the USA is compatible with 20W-50 oil because the higher viscosity oil "may be better suited if the vehicle is operated at high speeds or under extreme load conditions." This completely debunk the story about tighter tolerance engine requiring lower viscosity 0W-20 oil.

Also note the statement about using higher viscosity oil at extremely low temperatures..."the engine may become difficult to start". THERE IS NO WARNING ABOUT DAMAGING THE ENGINE WITH HIGHER VISCOSITY OIL!

You really need to make up your mind . Now you're saying TOYOTA is RIGHT on oil change intervals.

Might just be me, but I'd rather use the Costco oil deal than deal with the hassle of this one.

32 shipped for 10 qts of 0w20? Great deal.

Am I probably losing out on a few bucks? Sure. But I don't have to risk that they might reject my rebate ordeal with the hassle of submitting receipts.

Now if I didn't have a Costco membership already, I'd be all over this!

Wait to use it until the rebate clears, if there is an issue return it to the store. The not accepting Walmart online is a little ridiculous. order it online for in-store pickup.
Walmart and Amazon online use a lot of third party sellers not just sold by Amazon or Walmart. Pennzoil can not guarantee they are legit and stand behind the sold product. They should just put sold and shipped by Amazon or Walmart online but probably not worth their time and headache either.

Lmao. I had a guy going at me on the Kirkland oil thread. Cause I stated I've been using the Kirkland and supertech for 10 years in a 200k Corolla and 100k Explorer with zero issues. I changed every 5k but had the oils analyzed and pushed them out to 7500+ because I drive so much. He Basically told me by going from 5k to 7500 my engine was going to grenade because it "doesn't like long oil changes". Im anal with my cars but I swear people think they are living creatures and know the oil has 5001 miles on it. 🙄🙄🙄 if the oil tests good, it's still good.

Guess I saved myself the trouble by accidentally buying 2x5 qts of Pennzoil Full Synthetic (not Platinum, and therefore not eligible) this morning. No rebate, no denial. Still good oil.

It's amazing what people will believe. Nobody can explain why Toyota wants you to destroy their engines. They don't pay for the oil changes so what their benefit is.

Also oil companies who SELL the oil would make more money if people change their oil more often yet they also say you can go longer on their oil.

I guess they think oil companies don't want to make more money.

It's laughable.

I've been waiting YEARS for that study that says changing oil at the recommended intervals damages the engine.

still nobody can show me even one.

He's referring to online pickup from Walmart, which generates the same kind of receipt you see with orders from walmart.com.
Then they should have replied to a comment about Walmart. My comment was "Platinum SAE 0W-20 Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5 Qt. for $.50 more at Home Depot with free shipping"

Picked up two 5-quart jugs this morning and just submitted the rebate. I've never had a problem with PZ rebates and I appreciate the fact that they offer them.

Why are more than 1/2 of the comments are about oil change debates? I don't give a sh.t about your opinions or knowledge about oil change frequency. Just post something you find on a retailer that's on the rebate list with a good price on 0W16. Cheers!

This is why oil threads are banned on most online forums LMAO. and to answer your question it's because someone always wants to attack someone on how why and when they change their oil 🙄
