May wish to update the listing to confirm that the monitor incorporates a VA panel.

Good luck!

Glad I didn't jump in any of the recent deals from the past few months. Now I understand why all the G models have been heavily discounted recently. There are some good new Oled monitors coming out soon or released already like the new Alienware 32" Oled.

Have this monitor, paid a bit more for it and still can say I have no regrets. Contrast levels are just amazing. Probably not as good as OLED, but pretty damn close. No concerns with burn-in of course. And yes, it's a VA panel, but it's not some no name brand $80 VA monitor. Samsung goes out of their way to make their "S-VA" panels competitive with IPS and it's no exception here. If you're looking for a nice all-rounder for watching tv shows and gaming with respectable refresh rates for well under $1,000, I'd def recommend this one.

EDIT: Forgot to add, don't forget to update the firmware. Some people have noted that the latest updates seem to add support for HDR+ as well as improving responsiveness.

I bought the G8 and it's great. Originally bought on amazon for 999, then saw it direct from samsung 3 days later for 699. Amazon wouldn't match price so I'm returning it and waiting on the one from samsung. It's a great monitor and just what I needed after getting a 4090.

Picked up this Neo G7 on black friday @ $450 and ended up replacing my 34" ultrawide OLED (AW3423DW) with it.

Was a tough choice because I really like OLED tech and the alienware is a good monitor - but for my uses (mainly work (various reports, spreadsheets/office apps, light programming), a bit of photo/video editing, and a little gaming) I just had to admit this is the better, more well-rounded option.

The blacks are good. text definitely sharper. colors are bright and vibrant ... HDR content can get eye-searingly bright. i would've felt pretty good paying a little more even (not sure about $718 though)
