I'm not sure who to blame; a bad product, Amazon for knowingly shipping expired/moldy product, or probably both.
Either way, those pictures are insane.

The problem is you don't know who they bought the jerky from (was it sold by Amazon) or whether some 3rd party seller's inventory was mixed in with Amazon's. I wouldn't trust any of the other shady sellers.
I buy a fair amount of jerky from Amazon and have only had a problem once.
Unless its refrigerated won't it spoil without adequate salt kinda defeats the purpose of this snack. Other option is inject a bunch of nasty preservatives to keep it from going bad.
So, this can be worth buying, it's just not much of a deal.

Most jerky brands have updated their storage recommendations to require refrigeration after 3 days of opening. I'm sure it's cost cutting on the manufacturer's side rather than a matter of food safety.
Unfortunately, putting the bag in the fridge as is causes any air trapped from when you opened it to turn into moisture and makes the jerky gross.
The only easy solution to this is to buy dessicant packets in bulk and add a couple to each bag. They're about $20 for 500, so not a huge expense when you're already buying overpriced jerky.

Never had a problem with beef or bacon jerky from Amazon. And I purchased over 20 times in 2023
it's showing up as $9.10 for S&S
