Shows it only allows for a personal item at that cost. Loses it's value when I went through everything to purchase and it shows as follows for luggage (per person/per item):

Add carry-on
+ $118.00
9 x 12 x 16 cm · Max weight 22 lbs

Add checked bag
+ $174.02
Max weight 44.1 lbs

These flights stop in Iceland, barebones ticket and anything extra is an up charge. Iceland airport pretty dead and terrible food. Upside is you go through immigration to EU in Iceland, very fast.

I assume the scare-quotes around "everything" are because it really means "anything" in this context.

$174 for a checked bag is insane.

Does this allow for over night stays in iceland? I had a lot of fun there a few months ago. I also prefer to fly personal item only (yes even on multimonth trips) so baggage is no issue.

Also add $49 if you want to use the rest room.( maximum 2 trips). $69 for unlimited.
Actually it's $49 one way and $129 round trip. The $69 unlimited feature is the "stretch your legs in the back" fee. You can do that as many times as you want, but you will be subject to a small carpet cleaning fee of $3 (also each way). The carpets don't clean themselves.

PLAY has a stopover mechanism but … these flights are Nov/Dec, not a great time to go. It's only sunlight 5-7 hrs lol

If anyone is actually going to take up this deal here's a little pro tip:

They can charge you for how many bags you carry on, but not how many you carry off. Bring a packable bag as part of your personal items. Wear as many of your clothes onto the plane as possible. Then once you're on, remove all of those items into your bag and voila!

I've already explored most of iceland but missed the northern lights. This is peek northern lights time. So it's very appealing to have a couple days stop over in the dead of winter.

Basically moving money from point A to point B.

RT flight only $1. Carry on $400. Checked bag $600.

A great deal if you want to go with nothing more than what's on your back. Sleazy any other way you look at it...IMO.
So you're saying they don't allow a personal item backpack?
Where are those prices from?

No if you include ticket price and compare to others. It's just about where they make their money. Other airlines in the flight ticket price.

Included in your flight ticket is one personal item that must fit under the seat in front of you. The personal item can have the maximum dimensions of 42x32x25 cm/17x13x10 in (10 kg/22 lbs) including handles and wheels. Additionally, you are allowed to board the aircraft with one airport shopping bag and medical equipment or medicine you may require during the flight.

This is such a myth and stopped me from visiting France for multiple years. Then I went and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. Sure they may be more gruff then people in Nebraska but they're no different and probably nicer on average then NYC/NJ folks. People in Paris aren't really different then people in any other major city. If you're just some moron standing in their way on the sidewalk not moving and unable to speak their language at all then they probably don't want to deal with you.

I have been in London, Rome, Paris, Milan or Berlin...most major European cities and seen not much different between those and American cities like New York, LA or Chicago.

Smart and creative indeed... albeit hot and stank for 12 hours in 5 undershirts, draws and socks. Sit your musty behind in back with them loud assed kids. Please and thank you.

I've been to Paris as an adult about 4 times, I'd say ran into some rude folks, but also some nice folks. The nice folks tend to be Europeans from other countries. So, I'd say it wasn't especially bad, it wasn't like all French were these rude folks, but don't expect helpful folks ready to help out tourists just like any other major city with tourists.
