The LG UR8000 is a decent TV overall. It looks good in a dark room thanks to its high native contrast ratio and great black uniformity, making it a good choice for watching movies. It's okay for watching sports or shows in a bright room, but it's a bit limited by its low peak brightness, so it can't handle a lot of glare in a bright room. It also has poor off-angle viewing, so it's not a good choice for a wide seating arrangement. Finally, it's a decent gaming TV with low input lag and a quick response time, but most sizes lack any advanced gaming features, so it's not ideal for competitive gamers.

Doesn't sound bad for the price. Was it ever originally this high though?

This is the UR7800 60Hz, not the UR8000 120Hz

Put YMMV in title, nothing in 34689. Says "unavailable nearby" here.

If you're talking about christmas 2022, that was the UQ. This is the UR. Not much difference but it has the newer processor/AI.

My friend got the 86" UQ version on clearance for $700 with 3 or 5 year all state warranty in store at the time. Incredible deal of a lifetime. I bought it for $950 online (but at least I didn't have to lug that massive box home!)

Great deal for a solid TV. I've had mine outside for a couple of years now with zero issues and it looks great!

The seems to be the norm nowadays. It just depends how bad.
I had a Sony failed 25 months after purchase and Sony customer service informed me that I shouldn't have expected the TV to last longer than 2 years !!

My Sony also was shot after 3 years of low usage. My TCL R615 75" still has great picture after 4 plus years
