The link didn't work for me.

I was able to find it direct from Woot's website, under Electronics.

As an alternative, I see the Jackery Explorer 1000 for $650 after coupon on Amazon [amazon.com]. [Edit: See ro2jax's post below for a better price from Woot!]

Thanks for that comparison. Looks like woot has the Explorer 1000 for $479.

Please put "1,264Wh capacity" in the title. The fact that you can add three external batteries to get to 5kWh is not helpful when comparing this to other models. Thanks.

questions for you battery gurus --
- will this be enough to charge my EV in an emergency, so I can make it 2-3 miles to get to a charger?
- and is this really a good deal -- are battery prices coming down quickly now?

I average less than 300 Wh/mile in my performance model 3 lifetime. Could use quite a bit less driving slow in an emergency. Not sure the efficiency of getting the 1200 watt hours from this into the EV, but it should be enough power to get you those 2-3 miles based on my usage.

I could be mistaken, but I thought these wouldn't charge EV's unless the plugs were grounded, which is not the case with most portable power stations. Anyone have personal experience?
I think the issue with this particular unit, while not very expensive, is that the UPS/EPS does work, but not during charging: the AC outlets go down during charging...that's what I gather from AMZ reviews.

It says pure sine wave in the image just under the AC outlets.

Looks like this guy has written a post about how to do it [blazingev.com] and what kind of mileage to expect from each Jackery unit. Turns out a neutral-ground bond plug is all you need to fool the EV charger into charging off a battery unit.
Doesn't really make much sense to me to pay all that money for a battery "gas can" than can give you like 1% more charge, but that's the answer nonetheless.

1024W capacity divide by 200W input is slightly over 5 hours if you were using 2 100 watt panels. That assumes you're getting 100% conversion on the panel (pro tip, you're not). At 80% efficiency, that's around 6.25 hours to charge.

This is actually a very good deal. High output, has battery expandability, fairly quiet, decent weight. 2500 watt load for 30 secs. Great warranty.

I got the 1000 plus, with expansion battery. It has worked great for me so far. Very useful!

Would this be good APS for a medical mini-fridge in the event of a power outage?
