This is a good deal for that hatchet. But if you are just after a hatchet and don't care about the straight handle design then you can get one with the same weight at harbor frieght for under $10 or if you want a wood handle $13.

I've have/had several Cold Steel Tomahawks. Don't buy them for processing firewood, unless you only want to do light work with them. They will split smaller firewood when camping, but they are mainly for using as a tomahawk. Find a big round of wood, or make a target and learn to toss them, just not at live trees. Tons of fun!

Honestly, one of those cheap hatchets would split wood at least as well, if not better, than a tomahawk. But it wouldn't be half as much fun for getting your Last of the Mohicans on out in the woods.
