I think the reasoning is, Costco has 90 day return policy, so it can't be too competitive as people will just return a lot. and they still take a cut off the top, and they double manufacture warranty, instead 1 year, Costco makes it 2. so Costco doesn't want to give you a great deal. an okay deal.
