Southwest Credit Card - Extra Category Multipliers For Rest of 2024

You may want to check your Southwest account if you have a card - on 2/1, I was quietly issued 3X on a couple of categories for the rest of the year. I do not know if this is targeted or not.
Based on the terms, it looks like this stacks with any other offers you have, like the Chase 5X on the same categories that I got, or the 25% spend bonus. Could be at least somewhat interesting for Companion Pass? Since both of these are extra points over base points I think the actual multiplier is 7X bc the base 1 point isn't counted twice, but waiting to see how they do Southwest Math.

Beginning 2/1/2024 12:01 a.m. ET and ending 12/31/2024 11:59 p.m. ET ("Promotional Period"), select Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Credit Card members will qualify for and receive 3 points total for each $1 spent on Qualifying Purchases in the gas stations, grocery stores, and dining categories. Qualifying Purchases must be made on your Southwest Rapid Rewards® Credit Card during the Promotional Period, minus returns and refunds. The points will count towards Companion Pass qualification but will not count toward A-List or A-List Preferred qualification. Please allow up to eight weeks from end of month in which purchase was made for the bonus points to post to your Southwest Rapid Rewards™ account.
