I have a OnePlus 11 256gb. I am not on social media, regularly download all my photos to my computer and wipe out the gallery, and have just a handful of games and apps I use for work.

Current storage usage: 101gb/256gb.

I don't know why it is the way it is, probably NSA related tracking or just poor coding on developers part. But, he's not wrong in saying that 128gb is pretty abysmal at this point.
It's a price point phone from a budget brand. The 128gb storage is adequate as long as the user periodically offloads photos and videos to the cloud. The more serious concern is the quality of the cameras. Motorola phones do not have a good reputation in this regard.
Most Moto phones that I have owned only received updates for a year (or maybe) two. What is the situation on updates with this one ?

128 GB storage. Never worry about space with tons of built-in storage.
BWAHAHAHA!!!! Maybe five or six years ago. If they'd kept the SD card slot, that might fly.

You must be the type of person who takes 50+ selfies of yourself/day?

Nope. I hate the fact hole punch cameras became the standard, wasting perfectly good screen real estate. I like to keep a lot of media on hand, and games take up some decent space nowadays, too. I do admit to having lots of pics of my family and pets, but that doesn't really require that much space.

Game packs can eat up a lot of space. Especially the racing sims.

I got a couple of these from T-Mobile's "free after trade-in deal" (side note, T-Mobile version has 8 GB of RAM, not 6 like this model, but still 128 GB storage), used mostly by my kids.

All they really do is play games like Minecraft and take pictures, and most of them are about 60% full already, and they've only had them two months. I would agree that if you expect to keep a phone for two to three years (or longer), 128 GB is on the low end.

I just returned this phone yesterday.

It's an OK phone at $209 when I bought it two weeks ago, I just didn't like the camera very much and battery was mediocre.

Father of 4, so I want a really good camera and still $$ leftover for diapers.

Granted this IS the 2022 edition.

I'm back to using my moto one fusion plus from 2021 until I can find a better replacement. (Thinking oneplus 10t??)

The SOC is kind of weak with the Dimensity 1050, though the oled screen is kind of good.

again the question is how it would work with gcam everything else is in comparison to pixel right now we know it wont get perfect pixel level pictures but we want gcam to improve the local camera at least if not then the phone is worthless for photos.

Yeah, I was more making fun of the "Never worry about space with tons of built-in storage." BS. Sorry, but that's barely adequate nowadays, and FAR from the "never worry about storage" marketing fantasy.

The wife loves hers, although it's a 8+512GB model. She's more of a casual gamer, tho - not too demanding of the hardware. The screen definitely is nice.

I'm waiting for the Edge Plus 2023 to drop in price like the 2022 Edge Plus did which I'm using right now which is a great phone.
