  • About this deal:
    • RTINGS gives the QN90C a score of 8.3 and QN85C a score of 8.1 (both for mixed usage).
    • RTINGS' comparison of these 2 models:
      • "The Samsung QN90C/QN90CD QLED is better than the Samsung QN85C QLED, but not by as much as you'd think. The QN90C gets much brighter than the QN85C in both SDR and HDR, but in practice, this isn't always noticeable, as most content just isn't mastered to take advantage of such high brightness levels. The QN90C's Automatic Brightness Limiter (ABL) also more aggressively dims the scene when it gets extremely bright, to a point where the two TVs are equally as bright in the brightest of scenes. The QN90C has better color volume and reflection handling than the QN85C."

Ok I was able to snag an epp account and a referral code and was able to get the QN90C 85 inch for $1,750.35 total with 2 years Samsung + Care. It took a little patience to get the customer service rep to give me coupon codes for a discount and Samsung care+. The referal code(5%) I received from Samsung on my EDU account.

If you are looking for an epp account, look at post 6 on the following page:

Its great to see these deals, but sadly I am unable to see them with my EDU account. I am really interested in the qn90c 85" for under $2k, but with my EDU account I m not seeing that price, it's way high, no where near $2k

Yeah. I'm not seeing it either with edu. Same as it has been for the past week or so. To the OP, did you use EPP and assume it works with EDU?

I'm logged in to my edu samsung account, on the ohone app and the computer too and I'm seeing the prices. Not sure why it's not showing up for you. The account is a teacher account, with a edu email address and it has always worked for the past years Samsung started these deals.

I'm really sorry to hear this is not working, this is the best price ever for the QN90 series 85" TV.

Well, I have both, the QN90C and a oled, 65" C1 TV. I'm guessing the C1 model is better then the 83" woled so I cannot compare what you are asking.

But I'll say this, both are outstanding!!! The 65" oled is in my very dark den while my QNLED is IN my bright living room. Both are crystal clear, 4k plays amazing in both. Even the wife loves the clarity of both TVS.

Samsung's site can be glitchy. I logged into EPP, it welcomed me by name, I went to look at the TVs and they were normal "Big Game Sale" prices... I went to the top and it hadn't retained my credentials. Take a 2nd look. It happens pretty regularly from my experience.

It definitely does that. But in this case it is identifying the campus account. I will try to buy a epp account from the dude in another thread.

If successful, how much off does the Samsung coupon take?

With EDU account, price was showing at $2400 for 85" qn90c. But after chatting for a bit with CS, they offered 10% discount and samsung care+ for 2nd year warranty which is turning out to be alomost 20% off value ($240+$199). But later checked with a friend who has EPP account and he was able to place the order for about 30% off on the $2400 price. I need check if any AllState or some other provider to buy extended warranty.
