This thing has been seen for as low as $250-270 in the last several months. That's what I would call a real deal. $310 is about normal for a 5800X3D these days.
FYI I would expect any used CPU or MB from Amazon to have bent pins and be prepared to straighten them.
You are wrong in your assessment. I've ordered "used" processors from Amazon and they are sometimes still sealed in box but box might be scratched/bent. Most recently ordered this processor and it's working perfectly in my computer. At $250 - $50 gift card, I'm set for a while. My gaming will come to an end when my current hardware becomes obsolete. It's been a great ride!

Sorry but it is you who are wrong.
I'm simply stating people should anticipate used (AMD) processors to have a far greater than zero chance of bent pins, and to anticipate the very real chance of either need to return them or fix them yourself. If one were to be depending on needing a 'good' processor, they should not depend on a used processor.
I've bought a used intel MB from Amazon and the pins were bent. I brought it to somewhere that had a binocular microscope I could use and straightened them myself, it worked fine.

I would assume that the people who inspect Amazon Warehouse stuff do not have the time nor the means to test a CPU for full functionality (my guess is they just quickly look for bent pins and matching Serial Numbers). That being said, I crap-shot a 5900x (with the idea that if it doesn't work, i can return) and things turned out fine. Amazon Warehouse is a great way of saving money, with the backing of "i can return this." I've had things be broken off the bat and other things be totally fine.
TL;DR = YMMV

On the flip side 281 for used, not too bad.
