This website (connection dot com ?) isn't very common or well known. Anyone have experience with it?
Is the product sold New, and will Apple honor the warranty on this?
How about the return policy?
But m3 MBA will probably be way more expensive? Specially to get that 16GB RAM
We'll see -- I would think full price for maybe the first month before the sales start. It only took a few weeks before we started seeing $250 off the M3 Pro base model. You should be able to get an education discount right off the bat though and depending on the config it's sometimes a so-so price.
But I'm curious too about the M3 Air too. While I think it will just be a chip swap, better to know before making any final purchases. However, don't expect Apple to add any more features than what's on the Pro line--they need to give people a reason to pay up.
Hmm just picked up the mbp m3 pro 14 @ BB last night, came to almost 1900 after.. this is 1500 no tax.. tempting
Wont be doing anything wild on this, it's more for school.
Would prefer the 13" m2 mb air but want 512/16gb min and when getting the air in that config it costs as much as a MBP m3
note this is NOT the M3 PRO chip. It's the M3 (sans PRO). biggest difference -- the M3 PRO supports multiple monitors out of the box..the M3 only supports the laptop display + 1 additional monitor (someone corroborate -- i'm like 95% sure on this)

If you don't need the extra horsepower or dual monitor support, for nearly the same price I'd take the few extra ounces and slight additional girth to get a slightly bigger (but much better quality) display, beefier speakers and on the bright side, having the plain old M3, instead of the Pro, chip means you'll net a few extra hours of battery life. The only thing that I honestly felt limiting about the 15" MacBook Air I had was the 8GB of RAM... It was becoming a problem more often for me than I thought it would. This guy has 16GB RAM and double the SSD at the base model. I'm on a base 14" M2 Pro now, but I'd consider a config such as this in the future for my needs personally.

Any reason to prefer the Air other than the screen size?

If considering the air. Might as well wait a few months, m3 macbook air expected soon.

1500 (no tax) vs 1749+tax ( i think it cost me 1881 OTD )
Just looking for longest life out of the unit.

I think I might be able to hunt a refurbished M2 Pro for this price somewhere..
Is it still worth getting the M3, or is it going to be noticably less performant than the M2-pro chip?
