Govee is like the Ninja of electronic gadgets.
Seeing how this works on Bluetooth, I'd say Viking, not ninja.

These Govee bluetooth thermometers work well with Home Assistant. There is an integration that allows any bluetooth equipped HA host to see these Govee devices.

I don't have central heating so it's nice to be able to get one of these and pair it with the Govee wifi space heater (that was on sale last month) to create a mini climate controlled area - when temp drops to certain level the space heater kicks in.
yep for about 40 bucks total you get a pretty accurate smart heater /w independent thermostat. Problem I've had with all these all-in-ones is the temp reading is never quite right due to its proximity to the heater. Also, they're not this cheap lol.

FYI according to reviews the 2 Years Date Storage is with the app. The device store 20 days of data which I think is decent. Similarly, I can confirm that the batteries will last about 4 months as mine showed the battery life of 75% remaining after 1 month of use.

Wish they had a plug in version of this. Changing batteries would get old using these for room sensors for home assist. I have a couple and they're great

These newer black ones seem to connect a lot better and faster than the old white versions

Can't tell you why you need it, I use one to monitor temperature, humidity, dew point, and vapor pressure deficit in a greenhouse that you can imagine doesn't have a thermostat.

Is it the color or the model H5074 vs H5075 that makes the difference?

Dumb question.. what's the practical use of this? Looks more like a paper weight
I have a few of these. It's nice to see how well different rooms heat or cool. When running a swamp cooler I can close windows in one bedroom when it gets cool enough, and let the other one get all the cooling. I have a different version in my attic and I occasionally look at historic data to see how hot and cold it's getting up there. At work I can look at graphs of temperature or humidity to see how well they correlate with mystery problems with the equipment (on one occasion, very well).

Hands down the best thermometer on the market BY FAR. Just the historical data keeping and auto linking to your home heater/fan

Some home assistants like Apple HomePod already has these two sensors built in. So it could be pointless. So check and buy.

I have central heating and 1 main thermostat. I don't trust thermostat to gage the whole house temperature. Some rooms feel colder so I think I would like this
