It's a constant debate for me, too. Lifetime warranty with local dealer support or outstanding value with 6-year and ship your bike if you want to make a claim. I think the decision of whether that's a good "value" is up to the individual.

And can I take this space to rant against SRAM choosing to use corrosive brake fluid instead of totally harmless mineral oil in their brakes? It makes no sense to me.
