Battlefield 1 was pretty buggy at launch and so it did not get the love it deserved. I haven't played a game that has quite the same cinematic experience as Battlefield 1.

Replace "1" with any BF version and the statement is still true.

I'm mostly a single player kinda guy, the multiplayer games I have enjoyed most are Subspace top down space combat shooter from around the late 90s / early 2000s. battlefield 1942 and Nintendo's Splatoon series. I'll throw atari's gauntlet arcade series in here as well. there's a lot of depth and replayability in these games.

Pretty sure that's the case with all modern EA games. It's another example of mega corporations playing with each other and the consumer suffers. Now you will always have two launchers. A small example for sure, but the pile of small sufferings is a mound reaching the sky these days.

If you already have it on the EA app, you can add it as a non-Steam game. However, it seems to disappear from my now playing and my friends don't know I'm playing Battlefield other than the initial pop-up. This would literally be the only reason I would double dip. lol.

Yes, BF4, BF1, and BFV all have pretty active player bases. More active than 2042 even, since they are much better games.

Can't really go wrong with any of them, but BF4 and BFV are my favorites. BF1 doesn't quite have the "Battlefield feeling", but it is still really well done.

It now comes with hackers. Socks that there isn't a way where the community can implement some sort of ban system towards hackers or at least get some south of support from EA and DICE.

BF1942, Wake Island. One of the only multiplayer games/maps I've ever enjoyed.
