The combo price is $159.99, which was the price I bought it. It was OOS when I saw it, and felt lucky it was still available in my local store. Used it for a minor diy framing, and I really liked it. So if your local store doesn't have anymore, you can get it online since it is available again. I think amazon has the same combo at similar price.

I'm seeing $143.10 for delivery (not available for pickup in my area (North Phoenix), even when selecting the one store that BS says has a few in stock...)

DISCLAIMER: The price I see includes my 10% military discount, so the "clearance" price is ~ $160... Still not a bad deal. But I was hoping to see $140 before the discount. I don't even need this tool, but I would've bit on that deal! Maybe I need to drop into the actual store and see what's what... Smilie

The online price at my store is still the 159 but it was definitely on the top of the clearance end cap marked 140, they had a pile of them which makes me wonder if I stop back regularly if I could get it for less.

BS Link since it's hidden when they edit the OP: https://brickseek.com/home-depot-...=320004600

How's does this compare to the Milwaukee 12v ratchet. I've been eyeing that one for a while but I already have dewalt 20v tools

I saw this in store yesterday, out in California for both $140 and $159. Three of them were in an end cap cage yellow stickered at $140 and the rest were in promo section but the tool aisle for $159.

I grabbed the 1/2 version from the earlier pro rated deal. The thing is bulky, even without a battery attached to its bottom. I'm never going to use it when I could use my impact instead. I got it sub $100 and it'll be nice to ratchet something my impact or drill can't get to even with a 90 adapter. Basically thinking about those overhead garage saferacks I got from Costco last month. It was tight against my wall and this would've been nice.

I don't do much automotive work so I'm sure it cuts down a lot of potential use there. Make no mistake, it's not an impact for breaking bolts or nuts loose. It has its niche uses.

Grabbed one in store in Ohio. Not what I'd consider an excellent deal as I'm not a huge fan of the 1.7 power staks (I have 4 from previous deals) but they are helpful for tools like this where size and weight are important. I have the 1/2" ratchet that I've used with a 3/8" adapter but it's a pain for tight spots. I'll see if I can sell it.

Same for me. $160, but military 10% does apply.

I'll say though, I have the 12V MAX XTREME 3/8" ratchet, and that thing is plenty strong (as a ratchet of course, not an impact). I prefer compact, but was curious about this deal due to the powerstack.

Here is the 12V version:
XTREME™ 12V MAX* Brushless 3/8 in. Ratchet (Tool Only) | DEWALT

OK that link at DeWalt.com does not come through here on SD, so just google for DCF503B

This product is designed all wrong. It all comes down to the size and shape of the dewalt batteries. The head is too thick, the battery too big, it make for something that is all but unusable in the automotive space (which I believe this was created for to compete with an air ratchet). Realistically it is best for use in an area with available open space surrounding the bolt. Had to return mine after only a week of use as I kept having to grab my air ratchet to get the job done.

BTW - I am fully in the Dewalt ecosystem but this tool design is a failure. The better tools in this space are the Milwaukee m12 line. But I am too deep to start up another battery system.

That's what battery adapters are for. I also use one for Ryobi with DeWalt batteries.

Does this one have a Low Voltage cut off circuit. I see a PCBA in description and photos but don't see the BMS chip that would usually be there if it had a LVDPS.

You'd be wrong saying it's hard to start up a new battery system in a different tool brand ecosystem. Hasn't SlickDeals shown you otherwise? Haha!

I know, right! I just can't. I do really love some of the m12 stuff. If I stay here long enough some damn deal will get me to buy one eventually.

Doesn't really help when the alternative is the M12 3 cell roundish/trianglish pack. In fairness, I mainly posted this because I thought some would be interested. I caved and bought the M12 cheapy brushed that a lot prefer as it's the smallest of any of the brands, and it is an amazing tool to have before this was announced. After it was announced I was relieved that I made the choice I did as the design is not nearly as user friendly IMHO. But if you really only want to run Dewalt it's still usable, I just think the M12 is probably the best form factor for this job.
