i miss playing this game, but with everyone playing newer games, it's a damned shame that all of the gameplay outside the story will be lost to time.
Team Deathmatch in the Noshahr Canals was the best.

Like you said, unfortunately this game will slowly be lost in years to come, just like when I first tried BF1942.
If only influences didn't have to try every new game that comes out...

Speaking of BF2, I loved some of the DLC's even if they never gained any traction on servers. Euro Forces and especially Special Forces.
BF4, BF1, and V are also on sale for $3.99 until 12pm eastern Tuesday.
I just picked up BF1, but deciding to maybe also getting BF4 and BF3 again just to have it in my Steam collection.
I've read reviews that BF V isn't quite as good as 1, BF4 and BF3 (though, almost as good - & at these low prices all of them might be worth adding to our collections.)
update: I ended up getting only the highest regarded titles of those: BF1 and BF3 for under $6...maybe I'll wait for the next sale on BF 4 and V if I'm still interested..but not really a big BF fan as of lately. Hopefully they really hit it out of the park on a new BF6 with a more modern time period game + combining all the best elements of BFBC2, BF2,3,4,5, and BF2042 and presentation of BF1 into one game. paying attention to single player more and improve multiplayer...But probably wishful thinking...
