Don't buy any factory stuff- gap, BR or Jcrew. I've made the mistake and it's all junk. One time use and then it loses shape and looks like trash.

Ditto. I've made the same mistake several times and finally learned my lesson. Last thing I bought was a t-shirt that was tissue paper thin and the sizing was way off. Didn't even wear it once.

I bought this a couple weeks ago adding to another order, couldn't resist at $15. This is thick! 100% cotton (Sri Lanka). Seems like it should be durable. Doesn't wrinkle. My wife thinks it looks pretty good. I wear it open, great shirt to throw on as an extra layer.

I haven't had a problem with other casualwear from factory so maybe I'm not as discerning as others.

That first one looks like they turned a moving blanket into a shirt.
It looks like one of those blue warehouse freight blankets

Agree. I just made that mistake. Factory doesn't mean overstocked stuff, it means a cheap line of clothes with lower quality to save costs.

People used to downvote the comments against factory stuff. I myself was hesitant to comment many times against it. Glad folks are realizing it over time. They are not worth it!!!

Thanks, I ended up going for a flight jacket + 1 shirt as filler. There's no return so here's hope that it will fit according to the measurement chart.

I've recently bought 2 100% cotton french terry crewnecks and 3 cotton hoodies. Quality seems good, average GAP quality. Definitely better than Old navy, HM. I've been happy with it and with the discounts I've gotten, additional 25% of clearance.

Do you all feel this way for items that are basic and where the material makeup is known? I agree with this general sentiment for sure, just curious as I buy t-shirts and long sleeve basic shirts from GAP factory in order to get a reasonable price. Same % cotton, same looking shirts as "non-factory" and totally same "meh ok" quality as I see in the regular GAP store in person. Has been working well if I'm patient for the right sale but I might be getting duped!
