Cut out your sheetrock put 1x4 or 2x4 behind and put the sheetrock back.
Cut a 1/4", 1/2", 3/4" rectangle of plywood to screw to your studs then mount this to that. I included all those sizes because it would depend on the size and weight of the TV you're mounting. Though I personally think 1/4" would be more than enough for even an 85" TV, again, not an engineer.
Alternatively to keep the off wall spacing closer you could do the same using a couple 1" or 2" pieces of flat bar steel. Nearly every TV I've mounted I've had to get creative because the mount missed one or both studs to put the TV where I wanted it.

You could side the TV to the right or left a good distance if that helps. It would make it slightly unbalanced but with 2 3/8 or 1/4 lag bolts you should be fine. The black ones they send felt like soft metal. I actually used them but I was screwing into 2 different studs.
TOGGLER SNAPTOGGLE BB Toggle Anchor.
Found these on yt channel B The Installer.
Hung my (fairly heavy) 55" Frame and 65" 90C.
I -love- these things since I'm 24' studs here too.
And I used this very mount for the 90C (3 toggles on top and bottom; always overbuild)

The costco could be thicker metal, sits flush which would be better if you aren't securing to a stud. Even with good snap wall anchors, the tv is just being held up by the strength of the walling material, typically sheetrock.

Code is still working on my end. Try copy pasting 48RCG5YD at checkout and make sure to click apply. Sometimes it can be finicky and you need to apply a couple times if it says not valid from my experience.
