If all you want to do is to secure some school textbooks, these are more than good enough. No one will go through the trouble of picking this to open a locker that may or may not have anything valuable.
Masterlock is fine for these purposes. If you have something that you life depends on and everyone knows you have it and want it for themselves, you better buy a gun and sleep close to it, not buy any locks,
