They're made extraordinarily well and are worth the money. Solid steel, no flexing that you'd find on cheaper shelving units. These are meant for heavy duty back-room business storage. They also include a flexible plastic shelf liner, a nice bonus that other places don't necessarily include.
I don't use the wheels, so I can't comment on them other than they seem sturdy enough.
Bottom line: If I needed more shelving units, I'd enthusiastically buy these again.
The criss cross load bearing design of this additional rung helps offset the inevitable sag over time. I purposely had to get a membership with Sam's just to buy this version of this shelf. I had previously bought the Costco version and returned after reading some reviews about it sagging over time. I have yet to come across a review of the shelf sagging on the Sam's version.
Another interesting fact of the Sam's version is the wheels are much smaller than the Costco version. So if you have a garage or storage area with limited height or would like to fully utilize the top most shelf to be used to its max, going with the smaller wheeled Sam's version maybe better. Plus, the Sam's version has plastic shelf covers to cover the shelves for smaller items that may fall through the gratings on each shelves.
If I'm not mistaken, the total weight load and individual weight rating are the same or similar ( correct me if I'm wrong) between the Costco and Sam's version.
Just word of caution: this thing is HEAVY. Like 80 pounds heavy.

The nice part about Sams Club shelving is you can go to their retail stores and see them for yourself. Check out the display model.
