I'll jump in here....I have 7x of these, bought pre-pandemic for $89/each.

They're made extraordinarily well and are worth the money. Solid steel, no flexing that you'd find on cheaper shelving units. These are meant for heavy duty back-room business storage. They also include a flexible plastic shelf liner, a nice bonus that other places don't necessarily include.

I don't use the wheels, so I can't comment on them other than they seem sturdy enough.

Bottom line: If I needed more shelving units, I'd enthusiastically buy these again.
When I read "holds 6000 lbs," I hear the guy from Project Farm saying, "We're gonna test that!"
The Sam's club version has a third rung down the middle for added strength. All others from Costco and Amazon's versions don't have this but instead have multiple thin metal rods. The metal rods will bend over time with heavy items, even with the same or similar per shelf weight rating.
The criss cross load bearing design of this additional rung helps offset the inevitable sag over time. I purposely had to get a membership with Sam's just to buy this version of this shelf. I had previously bought the Costco version and returned after reading some reviews about it sagging over time. I have yet to come across a review of the shelf sagging on the Sam's version.

Another interesting fact of the Sam's version is the wheels are much smaller than the Costco version. So if you have a garage or storage area with limited height or would like to fully utilize the top most shelf to be used to its max, going with the smaller wheeled Sam's version maybe better. Plus, the Sam's version has plastic shelf covers to cover the shelves for smaller items that may fall through the gratings on each shelves.

If I'm not mistaken, the total weight load and individual weight rating are the same or similar ( correct me if I'm wrong) between the Costco and Sam's version.
Just word of caution: this thing is HEAVY. Like 80 pounds heavy.

I was at Sam's yesterday and saw the sale. I was interested until I saw that the only racks they had didn't have any caster wheels.

Fine print says 6000 lbs when not using wheels. Only 600 lbs on wheels. 🤣

I bought 5 around 2018-2019. Love them. I use the wheels on mine and they work great. I pair these, only using 5 of the 6 shelves, with a bunch of 54 qt. Sterilite clear gasketed bins(two per shelf). Great storage combo.

The similar Amazon shelving is showing $30 shipping w/Prime membership, so it evens out. Lower listed weight specs, too.

It's scAmazon. "Appears to be very similar" doesn't mean a thing until you have it in your hands. I can't tell you how many times what I received was TOTALLY different than what was shown in the photo.

The nice part about Sams Club shelving is you can go to their retail stores and see them for yourself. Check out the display model.

About 1/3rd the weight capacity, and add on the $30 delivery charge for a total of $100…

the shelves can easily support 2'000 lbs these are heavy duty racks. the problem with the wheels is all the weight sits on the caster's threading. you can load up to 2'000 lbs on wheels but it wont move much... i have over 5+ in the house

Thanks for that info. That should indeed make these much stronger.

Just got these and assembled them. If you don't want it too tall you can make 2 units with 3 shelves each. It comes with 2 sets of bolts if want them both to be stationary, but only 1 set of wheels.
