Looking internationally, there are several Alilia level Hyatts in Indonesia for 3500!
I've done several "mattress runs" at Marriotts, mostly to use up free night certs before expiration, or if I am delayed in travel on a reservation I might miss the first night. I check in on the app and add a mobile keycard. The hotel gets their money either way, what do they care that you're not actually physically in the room? In fact I've often thought of a better way to run up nights for status - just approach some hotel and tell them exactly what you want (night credits) and in return you don't even set foot in the room which means they don't have to turn it over at all. They just collect $$ for doing absolutely nothing on a room that would otherwise be vacant. See what kind of deal they could cut you.

Id say I personally value 3k pts around $60 (2c/pp) but my personal best was at 6c/pp at Andaz Maui. So I guess it can be worth more than $60

No limits on the Marriott promo other than it ends at the end of April; I believe the max (based on the promotion period) was 76 nights/76k extra points.
