If your child goes to a "Scholastic School", the Scholastic version of these are $5 at their book fairs, unless inflation has raised them since last fall. Just in case these sell out, you have another cheaper option.

Ollies always has these for dirt cheap. It's painful going in those stores but the book selection and pricing is really awesome

I got TinkerActive workbook from shaws at $3.99. They are good. Lot of activities for kids.
