Totally clueless here, asking a totally clueless question: Can't you wear buds or phones, or plug in satellite speakers and play along? I've been practicing air guitar for 55+ years. Sounds just like Carlos Santana was playing!
Taking piano lessons and practicing on a digital is a waste of the teacher's time and the student's money.
When growing up my sister and I had a piano teacher who's first goal was to teach reading and musicianship. My sister ended up being an excellent on the fly short notice accompanist. I had zero clue how to find a teacher like her.

Taking piano lessons and practicing on a digital is a waste of the teacher's time and the student's money.
My kids are two years in to piano lessons with a local mom, practicing on a $300 digital, absolute bare minimum that had 88 weighted keys. My kids can play songs on the piano, read music, and understand concepts. Money well spent.
I'm willing to bet that at least one of the musicians you enjoy grew up dirt poor and learned on a piece of junk instrument.
