These basics devices are huge. I don't believe these are GaN, you can get an Anker (yes for more $$) that's literally 1/4 the size with the same output.
As someone who has replaced a bunch of outlets in my '95 built home, this happens mostly from contractor grade outlets that are used during construction. These are cheaper and not made well when compared to the commercial grade outlets I switched mine out with.

If a plug isn't holding well (even at the weight of this brick) it's a hazard that needs to be addressed.
This one looks to be the real deal and not that other Belkin one. This AMZN one looks to be a rebranded GaN belkin device https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Cha...B088T4HX7F

Ugreen nexode are my favorite. Anker is still ok and it was the best 10-12 years ago but I think they overcharge for what they are now.
Are Ugreen nexode UL listed?

I agree. Just got two 100W delivered yesterday from the same woot deal and they barely stay in the wall without anything plugged into it. These smaller wattage ones may be better but it's a brick for sure.

Does Amazon actually make their own chargers or do they source them and rebrand them?

This looks very similiar to an AmazonBasics 68 watt two port(usb c and usb a) charger I had bought for $10 on woot around a a year ago. Same design and specs but they have swapped the usb-a with a second usb-c port:

Works well and happy with it.

Grabbed on. I was thinking about grabbing the delkin that was also on Woot. Glad I didn't. A typical use would be charging my macbook and phone at the same time and this will be better.

So anker has a 100 W USB-C charger with cable for $25. Is there a reason why more people are opting for this deal over the anker one?

I got this last week: https://a.co/d/5FL5eFB

It is only ~$10 after coupon and has (IMHO) way better form factor that is a lot more stable since it directs cables downwards and doesn't stick out as much. It also weighs significantly less (3.2 oz vs. 5.3 oz). I tested it with my multimeter and it comfortable outputs 65 W as advertised. I've already ordered a second one but curious to know people's thoughts? Seems like a much better deal to me?

Just my couple of cents. All those brands (Anker, Ugreen and/or so on) most likely are not UL/ETL listed compare to this Amazon's brand.

There are actually way more multi USB C chargers with a USB A also — it's quite frustrating. USB C only multi chargers are very uncommon.

I think a lot of people specially seek out one without USB A because they're trying to future proof and no longer have any USB A devices.
