The extremely rare case that actually has "drive bays" which are essential for storage docks, controls, card readers, hubs, etc. Gamerz ruined this space by fantasizing that anybody cares how their computer looks.

Disagree very much. When you're pushing limits for bandwidth via Gen. 2 at 10Gbps, nothing should get in the way of a USB-C to USB-C connection.

I still think this is the best value case you can get because of the expansion bays that almost nobody else includes, but because of people like you, manufacturers listen - always looking for an excuse not to update old tech.

I bought one! Thanks OP! It's a shame I wanted the white one (54.99 but I thought it would have free shipping) but the item is dropshipped so it's $10 on top of that. $50.86 vs $64.98 for me. Oh well.

Might as well add another case fan instead of paying for shipping. This one is also made by FD

Am I reading correctly that this case does not have USB C outlet?

yeah I've been using this case for years, it's great and I bought it specifically because I wanted a dvd drive. The more ways I have to do things like install Windows, write/burn data to things etc, the better.

I have the white version for years now and have kept it after conplete MB/CPU upgrades. I have high pressure 30mm thick fans in this and temps are great on an AMD 5900x CPU built running with an AMD 7800XT GPU..

Why does that matter when there is a conversion cable or adapter. USB A is much bigger and less prone to breaking

This is tempting because I would like a case with a CD drive bay however the shipping to me is almost 16 bucks bringing the price very close to normal anyways. Tough decision.

Nice case for 35$. If I hadn't just bought a new case I'd jump on this. I love having bay drives. I have an old Roswell case that looks like this except it has even more bays by having only one spot for a fan in front. Got those sick mini bays for my SD/CF card readers

I bought a Fractal 2 years ago like this one and love it. Very easy to work in, very user friendly, and customizable, good metal and glass, everything fit like it was supposed to.

Doesnt it need a fan in the back?

Most cases doesn't comes in more than 3 case fans, and most of em have either 1 or 2.

There's a ton of cases that still have drive bays... I literally just gave away a thermal take that had drive bays. It's not a full tower like the antec 1200 where you had way too many bays but there is still a huge selection out there. I was just at microcenter the other day and they had a ton with drive bays, not everyone has a lian li. If you really want to maintain larger storage get a nas or maintain a rack

edit:
also to add to "gamerz" cases, not everyone needs bays and also having the drive bays or old card readers really does affect air flow in the case unless the drive bays are hidden in an under compartment. sure gamer cases look clean but it also reduces the clutter of extra wires everywhere. Newer cases definitely provide better cable routing and modularity and are more AF conscious than older designs. don't get me wrong, my all time favorite cases were the CM HAF and Antec 900, great cases for their time but severely underwhelming features compared to today's standards
