Ridgid revamped their LSA recently. Instead of having to take the defective tool or battery to a certified repair facility, you now just send it to ridgid directly. I recently sent in an old Gen4X light that didn't turn on any more. Start the process on the ridgid LSA site, print return label, ship it, got a replacement current Gen light (since the old one wasn't made anymore) in about 3 weeks.

If a Ridgid battery develops a fault or eventually ages out due to charge cycles, they'll replace it. If you run it over with a forklift, they won't.

This is good deal!
I used to be happy when I was able to get 2 4ah batteries at $99,
But this obviously beats that!

Any truth to Ridgid sometimes Not honoring their battery's lifetime warranty?

I wish they would charge $30-50 more and include a turbo charger.

Your experience was much better than my drill. Clutch was stripped.

Sent it in with no issues, got updated that it was being fixed, all seemed will. After 4 weeks went by, I emailed them asking what was going on and they said it was currently being fixed. I called bs on that because it doesn't take 4 weeks to replace a clutch.

Fast forward to week 12, they emailed me back and said my replacement was being sent out.

Ridgid's LSA was been flawless for me since day 1. Granted, places like Home Depo no longer accept LSA returns and other repair shops also no longer accept LSA returns...but ship it off to Ridgid, and they shipped back every item, brand spanking new...

Some of items they replaced for me under LSA:

Fluorescent Light bulbs for their battery operated lights [x3]
Lithium Batteries [x3]
Etc.

Years ago I remember buying Dewalt's FatBoy multi-tool combo kit for $400. Every tool worked perfectly for years...BUT, I had to purchase $800 worth of Dewalt batteries over the years as each battery eventually died.

Ridgid replaces the batteries and tools at no charge. Really can't beat that and no other vendor I know of offers such an incredible LSA. I ONLY purchase Ridgid tools now.

HD seems to have embedded this deal within a few tools.

Got a sub-compact impact that had this starter pack within. It's worth your time to dig around. No, not hackable since it's one item

I've bought a number of tools and registered them with the LSA.

In one case, I bought a dril/impact driver combo with 2 batteries in November 2012. One of the batteries died in November 2019. I called the number, and they asked me to run a few tests. Then, they mailed me a replacement battery. Super easy.

Super easy, if you can wait over a month to two months to get your replacement with LSA.
There's no way to track your warranty replacement process on-line. you have to call (long wait) or email with minimum 2 day response time. Even if you get connected, they mostly don't know any better about the status.
Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Still waiting for replacement battery I mailed in December 2023.

If you forgot to register Ridgid tools in the first 1 month will they still honor LSA replacement?
