Oof, I've been in the fiesta deck for this flight route. I don't recommend flying that long in cheap seats.

anyone going to sydney be sure you get the australian visa before hand ill be goin on a cruise to there and be coming back to austin in october

DFW SYD is an odd city pair for United with a hub in Houston. Must be trying to steal market share from American. Business class is obviously way better, but I've done RT IAD to SYD many times in coach and while it's certainly a long flight I couldn't justify 5-10x the price for business class paying out of pocket. You can pay for a good chunk of a vacation with the savings...but I'm cheap so there's that.
