From the team that brought you Baldurs Gate 3, Divinity original sin 1 is spectacular, and Divinity Original Sin 2 is perhaps the greatest game in its genre. Imagine a D&D-style game, but with *gasp* action points that you can spend on ANYTHING. multiple attacks per turn? Sure! Movement? You got it! Combination of both? Go wild. The combat is 10,000,000 better than baldurs gate restrictive system, because they built it from scratch for their own game. It's a delight and a joy to play, the music is top notch the voice acting is excellent, the story is great, and the replay value is insane for each of the origin characters (Lohse is the best, of course). If you haven't played it...correct that error.

DOS 2 is better than Baldur's Gate 3.

Simply because D&D sucks. The rules suck. They always have. And they are horrible for a video game.

Original Sin 2 is much better from a gameplay perspective.

I highly recommend these two games Smilie Especially after coming from masterpiece BG3...

And yes, I enjoyed DOS/DOS2 combat more than I did BG3 because they weren't bound by 5e rules. Or did I? They are two totally different games! Oh well.

Cannot wait for DOS 3!!!!!!!!!

If you're going to play both, play 1 first. If you're only going to play one of them, play 2.

If you think you're only going to play one and play 2 first, you will likely like it enough to want to play 1...so just start with 1.

Yeah, they are lengthy games but anyone with limited time is going to have a hard time playing any in that genre. They are not exactly known for their brevity.

I couldn't afford BG3 when it came out (student) so I bought DOS 2 on sale instead and it was AMAZING. Makes me want to play the first one. Can't recommend DOS 2 enough.
