Hack to get around $10 min

On a computer 🖥 Is easier than a phone.

1) sign into your account.
2) add the item or items you want to buy.
3) add ANYTHING else to hit $10.
4) proceed to checkout where you are entering your card information.
5) copy and paste link to a new window (doesn't need to be incognito) or just duplicate window.
6) go BACK to delete the item you don't want in one window, go forward to confirm checkout after deleting in the other.

Yes! It's very simple (no fancy computer hacks needed)! Just add another item to your order to reach the $10 threshold. Since the orders aren't processed to your credit card until you get to the store, simply tell them that you don't need that extra item. You have the option of changing your mind. They can cancel it in a few seconds, and you'll be charged only for the item(s) that you want. Just make sure that you immediately tell them to cancel that extra item. Otherwise, they can issue an instant refund for that extra item. Simply canceling the extra item it is the faster option.

The "fancy computer hack" takes 5 seconds.

Yeah, I don't know why you would have someone pick another item, just to cancel it, and have them restock that item. The cart delete process takes another 10 seconds of my time to eliminate all that re-work for someone else.

Anyways, thumbs up on the deal. Got 2 of the 60 count for $5.70. Kids run through bandaids like they grow on trees, good to keep a stock of these around.

Worked like a charm and frankly easier than having them pick an item and then canceling it at the store.

1) It doesn't take "5 seconds".
2) Your plan is a PITA using a phone (the device most people use for this purpose).
3) SD'ers have reported problems with this (on a computer as well).
4) This (simple, easy) plan has worked perfectly for me numerous times.
5) There's nothing wrong with having a (simple, easy) alternative.

"All that re-work"? Employees at the stores are hired for this purpose (stocking and re-stocking). The less work that's required at the stores, the fewer employees are required at the stores. Effectively shutting them out of getting/keeping jobs. I've used this option numerous times. It's their policy to allow (fast, easy) cancelations at the stores. Not once were there any complaints from Walgreens employees. Only from certain SD'ers who take such pride in using "hacks".

Not "easier". Just different. Perhaps it's "easier" for people who prefer to interact as little as possible with others (aka, a social disorder). For those, I'd recommend living on the computer/phone and having everything delivered (and then avoiding the delivery person).

Please explain what is so "inefficient" about saying the following 7 words to the pick-up person?...."Please cancel that other item. Thank you".
