They mean all electric heaters produce the same amount of heat. If they made another one with the same features as this and made it twice as big there would be no difference outside of the fact that it takes up 2 times the amount of space. Oscillating features, safety standards, form factor/shape, design appeal, knobs and control type, and aesthetics is what will be different. If it's certified and all you care about is heat output, buy the cheapest one.

Unlike the other version (this one doesn't oscillate but), this one mentions in the description: "Multi-Protection Safety Features: …UL 1278-tested…"
Has a link to a 'BACL' "certificate of compliance" under 'Product guides and documents': https://m.media-amazon.com/images...t4he+L.pdf

I have a couple, good overall, can turn on/off and set high, med, low or fan from Google Assistant. Does not connect directly to Smartthings though. Can also sync with the hydrometer/thermostat from Govee from other units, humidifiers or their stand alone units so it works like a regular thermostat. Mostly good heater. My main gripe is the power range. Low is 1000watts, high is 1500watts. It would be nice if low was something like 600watts with medium at 1000 watts. It puts out a lot of heat, and the features work well, wish low was lower but other than that it's all good.

Get the oscillating one for $5 more which has night light as well. Oscillating one went for $29 twice or thrice in the last 1 month. Ref - https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/921673

I'm not commenting on the deal, the quality of construction, or even if this has actually passed UL-testing. What I will note is that a customer purchased this same model and it was 'only' ETL-stamped. Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, the calculated draw for this unit (1500 watts / 120 volts = 12.5 amps) was exceeded significantly during operation and regularly spiked above 15 amps draw; this led to tripping the 15 amp breaker on the circuit repeatedly. I was called out to investigate why her breaker was tripping and both an in-line meter (between the outlet and the heater) and a clamp meter (on a line splitter between the heather and the outlet) confirmed unexpectedly high power draw.

In short? I'd be very weary about buying and using this heater, regardless of if you're planning on plugging it into a 20 amp or 15 amp circuit. My personal preference is to use devices that perform reliably as expected, and my short exposure to this heater quickly demonstrated what I believe to be unsafe behavior.

I got the oscillating one. And it's a great heater with a strong fan that really moves air around. I use 2 of them and it heats my whole house. (2600 sqft) I'm in San diego so If it's in the high 30s here it's cold. I replaced outlets in my house because they were all loose and lots of things would get hot when plugged in and heaters were the worst. Just plug it in wait a few minutes and touch the whire close to the plug in. If it's really hot then you need a new outlet and no heater is safe there unless you have it on low heat. These things are great.

Can this unit follow programming without Wi-Fi or smartphone nearby?
Does this unit work via Bluetooth (for configuring)?
Can it be programmed to turn on at a given temp?

I know someone that has a small greenhouse that's too far for WiFi. I'm hoping they could use the app + bluetooth to configure it/ program it.

Hope this made sense.

Bought it on Amazon at this price or 2 bucks less in November black Friday sales. Returned it, it may use 1500 watts of power but it's actual BTU conversion was horrendous. Can imagine fine for toe warming under the desk, but heating anything more than a closet seems unrealistic. Bought another wifi heater since, it's ok, but may return it too, and give up on wifi models instead using smart plug & remote thermostats with old school quartz heater

Got one last week, neat little heater, can barely hear it and heats up a room with a closed door quick.

I've got 2 of these and they work really well. Use common sense - have a 3 ft clearing. You can auto set with the app. Great price for a great product!

Can the OP explain the pricing? Only shows $49 with 30% coupon, which is $35. What is missing to get to $25?

Hi there! Have you tried stacking the coupon with the 20% off promo code in the thread? Smilie

Posted in the thread with the similar model - the internal thermometer is way off. It warms up when the unit is heating and doesn't really reflect temperature of the surrounding air. Auto mode necessitates pairing an external sensor.

Just a quick heads up 1500W at 120V you looking at 12.5A current , if you plan to have it on for more than 3 hrs, minimum 20A wire is recommended, but for most residential homes are using 15A wires for most areas , if turn it to high mode basically you don't want to have any other load in the same circuit at same time. Once again, if you have 20A circuit for all areas at your home you should be good to go
Can it be used with 16ga 100ft extension cord?

No. Larger gauge number is, less current it can carry, same thing to length.
