They mean all electric heaters produce the same amount of heat. If they made another one with the same features as this and made it twice as big there would be no difference outside of the fact that it takes up 2 times the amount of space. Oscillating features, safety standards, form factor/shape, design appeal, knobs and control type, and aesthetics is what will be different. If it's certified and all you care about is heat output, buy the cheapest one.
Unlike the other version (this one doesn't oscillate but), this one mentions in the description: "Multi-Protection Safety Features: …UL 1278-tested…"
Has a link to a 'BACL' "certificate of compliance" under 'Product guides and documents': https://m.media-amazon.com/images...t4he+L.pdf
I have a couple, good overall, can turn on/off and set high, med, low or fan from Google Assistant. Does not connect directly to Smartthings though. Can also sync with the hydrometer/thermostat from Govee from other units, humidifiers or their stand alone units so it works like a regular thermostat. Mostly good heater. My main gripe is the power range. Low is 1000watts, high is 1500watts. It would be nice if low was something like 600watts with medium at 1000 watts. It puts out a lot of heat, and the features work well, wish low was lower but other than that it's all good.

This also doesn't have any lighting. I find it useful as a night light.

Eh... I'm in the market for a new space heater, but I think I'll keep looking. While looking at the pictures, I noticed quite a few pictures of plugs, which I thought odd. In looking closer, it seems that the plug pictures are as a result of the plug becoming too hot and melting / fusing to the wall outlet...

Generally i've found from personal experience this can happen with most any small heater when used with an extension cord as the extra length causes the cords to overheat at the plugs.

Last time I posted about a heater I was mocked and told all heaters are the same. Here's hoping the same trolls aren't lurking here. Cause I'd to give them a firm handshake and a kiss.

Got this last month when it was $5 more. Hooked it up to Google home. It turns on and off fine with regular voice commands in Google home, but i can't seem to use it in Google home automations.

1500 watts depending on your exact voltage will be 12.5 amps. Volt X Amps = Wattage. A lot of people don't think to even look at the cheapo Walmart extention cords and most are rated for 13 Amps so I can easily see how it can get to hot. Older homes tend to have higher voltage and I've seen 115 to 120 in most cases but have seen higher too. A good rule of thumb is don't plug a heater into an extention cord at all and if you must read the tag. Also decide if you really need a heater as this little heater rivals your AC running in the summer, they are not cheap to run.

Just a quick heads up 1500W at 120V you looking at 12.5A current , if you plan to have it on for more than 3 hrs, minimum 20A wire is recommended, but for most residential homes are using 15A wires for most areas , if turn it to high mode basically you don't want to have any other load in the same circuit at same time. Once again, if you have 20A circuit for all areas at your home you should be good to go

Did you read the reviews associated with those pics? I didn't, but I only s see two that may indicate a hot plug. That being said, it's a 1500w appliance. What are the odds, out of thousands sold, that there are a few folks that have a loose receptacle or plug with tangs that are bent out of shape? It happens.

One of those pics is an extension cord plug. Anyone read the instructions for a space heater? Rhetorical question. Just sayin'.

I bought the model that pixilates. This puppy kicks some even heat. Adjustable color/dimmable nightlite is an added bonus. It is not thermostat controlled. Low stays on indefinitely, as does medium high. There IS a timer function up to 24 hours, I believe. And there are other items you can buy that it will pair with to control temperature levels.

I'll bite on this one and see how it works. If I don't like it I'll send it back.

Those pictures look like user error and I'll explain. First, you should NEVER use an extension cord, outlet tap, or surge protector strip on any heater and you should NEVER use a heater on an outlet that feels loose. The pic with the orange extension cord is using a light duty and light gauge extension cord. Definitely 16/3. The two pics of just the heater's cord are probably from loose outlets. Cheap contractor grade outlets that are used during construction. I've changed out a bunch of mine with commercial grade and the difference is obvious. The pic of the white burnt plug is a rotating head strip plug. Those should be banned all together!!
