Great looking game, just exploring the city is fun, it's a great depiction of Tokyo. Gameplay is decent, basically a shooter, and story is ok.

I'd agree and disagree with SensibleBanana286. I thought the story was great, I rarely watch entire cutscenes but I watched every one here. Also the collectables have lots of neat facts and lore about Japan / Tokyo. I NEVER EVER EVER care about collectables in other games but these were very rewarding to find / read. Not like some games where the 'collectables' are just stupid interoffice memos about a fictional potluck (looking at you Control). Shooting was okay, magic (no guns). Game looked fantastic and ran perfect on the Steam Deck (Steam version of course).

BTW, make sure you don't already own this if you do Humble Choice as this was bundled mid last year. I think it might have been free on Epic as well.

Agreed! I bought this version the last time it was on sale and really enjoyed it. Maybe a week after I beat it they added a whole lot of content for free. Need to go back to it.

Pro-tip: if you're trying to get all souls, do not run away from the parades.

When did they add content?

Edit: Looks like April of 2023. Just trying to figure out if I experienced it or not (I should have based on the timeline)

It was free on Epic a few months back.

I enjoyed the game. The Japanese style/lore was bizarre for me at first, but it became addictive after a couple hours and ultimately I appreciated its weirdness.

Fights and graphics were fun...with the exception of the 'Sanguin Dancer?' and 'snake/mermaid' enemies. Those fights were always obnoxious.
